If you’re planning to apply for Canadian permanent residence, there’s exciting news! 🎊 Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will soon start accepting the TOEFL Essentials test as proof of English language proficiency.

What’s Happening?
Currently, IRCC accepts IELTS, CELPIP, and PTE Core for immigration. But soon, you’ll have another option — the TOEFL Essentials test.
✅ Announced on August 21 by ETS (the organization behind TOEFL).
⏳ Not yet active! IRCC will update their official website once the test is fully accepted.
🌍 Available at secure test centres in Canada and worldwide.
👩💼 Who Can Benefit?
The TOEFL Essentials test will be accepted for candidates under economic immigration programs, such as:
✨ Express Entry (FSWP, FSTP, CEC)
🌊 Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP)
🏞️ Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) (subject to provincial uptake)
